Excellent. Very French too.

Stade Albert Domec is where the FR v NZ Test will be played this weekend.

This below is Stade Aime Giral, Perpignan. This is where yesterday's test match was played.

Stade Sebastien Charlety is where major games in Paris are usually played. The ill-fated PSG played there and some Test matches have been played there recently (before that Parc de Princes was often used).

Wasn't a request made for French Rugby League Ground pictures in like 2003/2003?

It's taken 2-3 years, but the grounds have finally found there way onto the site.

The request was made and I put some up at the time. Dr H's pictures of Agen, Carcassonne, Lyon, Avignon and Perpignan are an addition to that.

I had a look at that thread when I first joined the site and have been occasionally digging around French sites since.

It's interesting that the club grounds(Agen was hired for the test from RU) look like 1950's constructions built when the game was booming and as it declined sadly they've become quite delapidated.

Hopefully the redevelopment of Jean Fallon and the emergence of Les Catalans will reverse the trend both on and off the pitch. :D

I'm hoping that Les Catalans consider having a game in Carcassonne some time,it's further from Perpigan then Narbonne and with worse facities but a weekend in a Rugby League town with the Puig-Aubert statue etc. would be a really good draw for English fans.It usually gets good crowds for internationals and in nearer to strong RL areas Toulouse and Limoux.

It's hard to maintain grounds when you lose a lot of your assets during the War without any compensation. But I don't want to get in to all of that. Gets me too worked up.

I thought the Toulouse RU ground that hosted last year's Test was a great venue for the future. I am excited about Les Catalans.

Who's Les Catalans? Is he related to Les Murray or Les Miserables? And why are you excited about him? I thought you liked Tottie/totty.

He he he, "Dognuts, Idaho". And it's almost Mo-vember again. I make me laugh.

And the RL ground looks nice too. Isn't that the way with all brand new grounds.
