Good question. I have no idea.

I'll ask my French correspondent. Maybe Swede knows.

Heaps of European grounds have fences to prevent pitch invasions. Come on, you knew that!

Fences around English grounds were taken down following Hillsborough.

I thought Hillsborough type reforms were adopted in the continent. There was no legal obligation of course. I thought clubs did it as a precaution.

Do French Rugby games have a history of pitch invasions?

They were going to move to a re vamped ground after playing a few games at Stade Aime Giral but that won't be ready for next season so will play in various French cities.

They are also playing two games over the border in Catalan Spain at this stadium in Figueres, the first time Rugby League has been played in Spain.
