UWE Stadium - Bristol Rovers / University of West England

Bristol Rovers are selling up the 12k/2.5k seated Memorial Stadium to developers and moving to a new stadium on the grounds of University of West England. The co funded project will yield a 21,000 seat stadium and office space for the university, and some commercial space.

It's farkn hot.
For a budget of 40 million quid it's a stompegr of a ground. Not bad for a 5th tier Conference Premier club. This will be a ground share with university sports, but that doesn't look too big a deal.
This funding/development/co-location model is *absolutely* something we should pursue in Australia.
