Totally worth it getting up at 6 this morning to watch Jana Pittman run the perfect race and come back from 8 metres down at half way to absolutely thrash Russian World Record holder Yulia Pechonkina for the 400 metres Hurdles World Championship in Paris. A great moment in Australian sport and reminiscent of Debbie Flintoff-King's stirring come-from-behind Gold medal win in the same event at the Seoul Olympics. They'll show highlights of Pittman's race for many weeks to come, I'm sure.

Go Jana. From Giraween High to a Gold Medal high, she's come a long way in 3 years. Good luck in Athens.
