So there's still an issue with these old grounds. They're great for nostalgia and they're brilliant size for regular games, but they're still a bit sh*t.

If there were more grounds like they have in the UK Super League (like Langtree Park, which gives me the horn) then there'd be more argument for suburban grounds. But who's going to pay for a bunch of upgrades to get a bunch of Sydney grounds up to that standard when the clubs won't even use them full time?

Doesn't necessarily require a full time solution. They can be kept as is and only used once a season or so for the nostalgia effect but you'd have to expect people to get over it quickly enough that more than 1 game a season wouldn't be needed.
