Australia to bid for 2023 women's soccer world cup

I would assume that stadium capacity requirements would not be as high as for the men's tournament
I also doubt that Qatar would be bidding since they probably don't let women play sport
Let the speculation of new stadiums and upgrades begin...

Is a good event to bid for. And at least the Matilda's have a chance
Will be interesting to see if they base the bid on one state, a few cities, the east coast, or country-wide.

Well - we were successful! Below is the list of stadiums to be used for the tournament. Only thing that has changed since the bid was submitted is the ANZ Stadium redevelopment won't go ahead. Upside it'll hold 13,500 more than it was going to be, downside is it's not a world-class stadium, unless they do some work on it.
