There's something about the Rose Bowl that attracts me. I love it.. both the game and the stadium.
You've got to give credit to a culture that understands the importance of games and stadiums like the Rose Bowl. Even if college football existed in Australia, I doubt it would have survived the rationalisation, aggregation and commercialisation we have in Australia. Commercialisation? I saw my first jersey with a sponsor on it - in Australia - Eastern suburbs and City Ford. Thirty-two years later and I'm still yet to see sponsors the sacred uniforms of US sporting teams.
I've gotta admit.. seeing the B2 fly over the Rosebowl was one of the coolest things I've seen at a sporting event in a long time. It was surreal, like something out of a SCI-FI movie. Tradition and SCI-FI.. what a mix!

Wait till you get back to NZ. We wouldn't want to occupy too much of your time.IanRitchie wrote:need to either wait until i get home or borrow my girlfriend's camera cord to hook it up to my computer. see what i can do about that tomorrow.
you'll get some bonus pics from lp field in nashville, too. when we actually get around to going there.
