Tomaree Sports Complex
The Tomaree Sports Complex is a multi-sport facility located in Nelson Bay, NSW. One of the largest sporting facilities within the Port Stephens area, it caters for a range of sports including rugby league, Australian rules football, cricket and soccer. The Tomaree Rugby Ground (known as Matchfield No.1) features a double-story pavilion and grass hill surrounding the field with a capacity of around 4,000. It hosted a NRL trial match between the Newcastle Knights and Sydney Roosters in front of a capacity crowd in 2004.
