Devonport Oval

Devonport Oval is a picturesque oval ground located in the northern Tasmanian city which opened in 1937. It is positioned next to the coast and plays host to Australian football, cricket and cycling with a track around its playing arena. The venue has two grandstands, both quite small, a pavilion and grass hill. The ground is tiered on one side and has an estimated capacity of around 10,000. Recent improvements have included lighting suitable for night matches and a video scoreboard screen.

The ground has hosted AFL practice games, including Melbourne v Collingwood in 1997 in front of 10,152 spectators, and Hawthorn v Richmond in 2000 in front of a crowd of 7,144.
