Jiangwan Stadium (CHN)

Jiangwan Stadium, China

Jiangwan Stadium is a venue located in Shanghai, China, which hosted three AFL premiership season matches, with the last in 2019 between Port Adelaide and St Kilda. While the capacity of the stadium is around 25,000, for AFL matches it was around 12,000 due to temporary grandstands erected on the field to bring fans closer to the action. Built in 1934, the venue featured an athletics track which is covered over for AFL matches. It also hosts amateur soccer matches and community events. Jiangwan Stadium was previously known as Shanghai Stadium and is also referred to as the Jiangwan Sports Centre. For AFL matches, it was officially known as Adelaide Arena at Jiangwan Stadium due to a naming-rights deal. The venue also previously hosted an exhibition match in 2010 between Melbourne and Brisbane.
