Anna Meares Velodrome

Queensland’s new $59 million Anna Meares Velodrome opened at the Sleeman Sports Complex in November 2016. The venue hosted the GC2018 Track Cycling competition and features an international competition standard 250 metre timber cycling track. Ahead of GC2018 the venue was used for elite training squads, club completion and hosted the national track championships in 2017 and 2018. The venue has a fixed seating capacity of 1,500 - this was boosted for the Commonwealth Games with 2,500 temporary seats installed.

The venue is located at the Sleeman Sports Complex, 15km from Brisbane’s CBD, an elite sports training hub which is home to the Brisbane Aquatic Centre, BMX Super Cross Track, and training facilities for both Weightlifting and Gymnastics. It also features the Chandler Velodrome which is an outdoor venue.
