Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre

MSAC

The Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, now officially known as Melbourne Sports Centres - MSAC, is an international-standard multi-sport facility located just minutes from Melbourne's CBD at Albert Park. Opened at a cost of $65 million in July 2007, MSAC plays host to many sports including Swimming, Diving, Basketball, Netball, Table Tennis and Squash.

The venue features an indoor 50m pool which can be expanded to 75m, with seating for 1,800 spectators. An outdoor 50m pool was constructed for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games with a movable floor and boom and seating for 3,000 fans, which was expanded to 10,000 with the using of temporary grandstands during the games.

MSAC's sports halls play host to a range of sports - it features a main arena with retractable seating for 2,000 spectators which was previously home of former-NBL team Victorian Giants for the 2003/04 season.
