Once inside the stadium it's not bad, with a good, close up view of the game from the grandstand and from the grassed hills on either side. Facilities are OK, if a bit tired. When you finally get near the stadium access is good, it's close to the freeway and walking distance to Laverton railway station. The main problem is the location, on the western edge of Melb it's a long drive for most people. And the surrounds are awful, warehouses, factories and flood prone wasteland, looks bad. The stadium itself is fine, pity it's in such a terrible location.

It is in a horrible place to attract crowds, as a softball venue I enjoyed it, lighting is fantastic, some of the facilities ae becoming outdated, mainly it needs to be picked up and shifted muchc closer to people and melbourne CBD

A truely rubbish satdium. Built 40minuets out of the CBD in the panaramic Industrial suburb of Altona, It brings shame to Victorian Baseball why couldnt they build this stadium in a primary location. It has a spectacular lighting system that can be seen from the Geelong Freeway on night games. Low attendences is a major problem.

isnt the greatest softball/baseball stadium, it has rather large change rooms and bench areas for players, but a rather worn-down pitchers warm up area on both of the dead ball lines. It also has a rather unique infield with the use a retractable baseball mound, and softball second base, which can be lowered into the ground when either is needed to be, the astro-turf infield is rather new after being replaced some 5years ago, how ever the rise up from the astro turf to the turf outfield was not corrected. however saying all this, it is a unique stadium to play either sport at, and watch. if only it had of been built in a more central location.
