One of the most beautiful grounds in Australia. It's a pity that more sporting events are not played here. I love coming to see a game here when there is one

17/10/13 NSW v QLD. Wasn't sure what to expect coming here but pleasantly surprised by this quaint ground. A hotch-potch mix of stands and viewing areas but good views from all especially the vertigo inducing upper Macartney Stand!!! Nice air conditioned bar in the Molly Dive Stand by the tree was a welcome relief from the sun and strong winds. Cracking day out here and a good innings from Warner before Hopes and QLD powered home.

North Sydney Oval is a gem of a sports ground.
Federation style granstands, a nice grassy hill, old style scoreboards, picked fences.
Great venue for cricket, esp he limited overs type with fairly short boundaries and a fast outfield.
Good Football venue too, although some may have complained about the cricket pitch in the middle. Also as a opposing player and spectator took a while to get used to the Nth Sydney Oval angles!
Very Shallow in goal area !!!
Nice steak and snag sangas !!!
A fig tree that has probably witnessed a Premiership Winning North Sydney Rugby League outfit.
One thing is missing though from this great place - The Bears!!!

Great history atmosphere and tradition particularly with The Nth Sydney Bears.Unfortunately they are no longer due to corrupt league management and underhanded behaviour from Manly officials.
Great place for cricket too.

One of the great suburban grounds of this country. The redvelopment ave the place an old world charm that is appreciated by thousands of fans, even if just watching a game on TV.
