Perth Glory's parent company Allia Holdings is willing to upgrade Members Equity Stadium so that it gains the services of a proposed Perth based Super 14 side. The plan includes increasing media and corporate facilities and implementing Stage 2 which will facilitate the construction of a proposed new grandstand.

The Glory believes it is the frontrunner in the battle of the stadiums and has applied for governmental funding in order to meet Super 14 requirements.

Jeff Dennis 'Chief Executive Officer' of Perth Glory stated that MES has a distinct advantage over Allia's competitors Subiaco Oval and the WACA. "The stadium fits into the stadium hierarchical model of the state government and it is a purpose built facility for rugby and soccer...We have approached the State government to fund Stage 2 to fulfill the requirements of a Super 14's team.."

Stage 2 of the redevelopment has been outlined to accommodate the proposed Super 14 team. Dennis outlined the proposed redevelopment of the Mecca of West Australian soccer to austadiums.com "A new grandstand on the eastern side of the playing surface with corporate and general seating". While Dennis said the proposal also includes a capacity increase of 1,500 and some work on the old grandstand in order to update the media facilities required by a Super 14 side

Jeff Dennis stated that the Government and Allia will work together to make sure a Super 14 side if based in Perth would be located at Members Equity Stadium "Allia Holdings will work closely with the State government to provide the necessary development to meet the needs of a Super 14's team."
