The home of football in Western Australia is on track to once again host Perth Glory due to the unavailability of NIB Stadium for the round one clash against Adelaide United.

Austadiums understands the State Government, who has managed the current redevelopment, has given an indication that it will not move the handover date to the venue managers to allow the game to go ahead at the club's traditional home.

NIB Stadium is having its turf resurfaced over the next four months as part of the finalisation of the redevelopment which has stretched considerably past its March finalisation date.

The State Government had outlined to Football Federation Australia prior to the A-League draw being released that NIB Stadium would not be available until October 14th.

The FFA however scheduled a game on the 13th of October, with the Glory and stadium left to handle negotiations to move the handover date. There is now doubt by both parties that they will be able to keep the game at NIB Stadium.

The last time Perth Glory played Adelaide United at Subiaco Oval, now Patersons Stadium, was the 2004 NSL Preliminary Final, where they won 5-0.
