Optus Stadium

Optus Stadium (originally known as Perth Stadium) is Western Australia's new 60,000-seat multi-purpose stadium capable of hosting AFL, rugby union and league, football, cricket and entertainment events. The new stadium is now in its final stages of construction and will open in January 2018.

Using a ‘fans first’ approach to planning and design, the Stadium offers an unrivalled spectator experience including exceptional event atmosphere and cutting edge stadium technology.

The State Government owned Stadium is located on the Burswood Peninsula, minutes from Perth’s CBD and near the Crown Perth Entertainment Complex.

The new stadium includes a roof with 85% of the permanent seats under the drip line as well as two large video screens and LED lighting. It'll also features the first Field Clubs and Suites in Australia located adjacent to the field of play while the fans have a 360 degree circulation and views of the pitch on the lower concourse.

The stadium has been built with integrated train, bus and pedestrian solutions to provide spectators with multiple transport options.

Telecommunications company Optus has secured the naming-rights with the new venue known as Optus Stadium for the next ten years.
