Ulverstone Football Ground

One of the smallest grounds in Tasmania, but also one of the most picturesque. Located in Ulverstone, about halfway between Devonport and Burnie, the ground has a capacity of around 9,000. On the outer wing is a grass hill and on the main wing is three main stands joined together. It is tiered between the front of the stands and the boundary fence and has an old tree in the wet area. The ground is home of the Ulverstone Football Ground, while former VFL team Tasmanian Devils played a few matches at the ground each season.

On January 12th 2005, vandals struck when the middle grandstand (built in 1955) was destroyed by a fire, causing around $500,000 in damage. The blaze came close to destroying both grandstands surrounding it and the UFC Clubrooms. It has since been replaced by a two-story pavilion.
