Go Media Stadium (NZ)
Mt Smart Stadium, commercially known as Go Media Stadium, is a major outdoor rectangular sports stadium located in the New Zealand city of Auckland. The 25,000-capacity stadium is the home ground of NRL team New Zealand Warriors and new new Super Rugby Pacific team Moana Pasifika. The venue was used as the main venue for the Auckland 1990 Commonwealth Games, hosting athletics - some of the old track remains visible today.
The stadium features two main grandstands - on the western and eastern sides, the newest of which was completed in 2005. New blue seats were installed in the eastern stand in early 2023. There is two tiers of temporary seating at the southern end while a grass hill is situated at the northern end, boosting the capacity up to around 25,000.
Mt Smart Stadium reverted to its original name after it's long-term naming rights deal with Ericsson came to an end in mid-2006. In May 2023, a one-year naming-rights deal was signed with Go Media.
The venue has also previously hosted soccer with former NSL side Football Kingz playing at the venue. There had been speculation that at some point in the future the NZ Warriors may move to Eden Park and Mt Smart Stadium may become a Speedway venue, however that hasn't eventuated and it continues to operate as a rectangular sports stadium.
