The bold Victoria Park sporting precinct proposal, was proposed for the hosting of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games, featuring a stadium with a capacity of 60,000-80,000, a 12,000-seat indoor arena and aquatic centre. It would create a long-lasting legacy for the city, according to Peter Edwards, the founder of architect firm Archipelago.

After the Olympics, it would serve as the new home of AFL and cricket, replacing the Gabba.

Despite the stadium precinct being recommended by an independent sports venues review, the proposal was formally rejected by the Queensland Premier on March 18, 2024.
