In its day VFL Park was a wonderful Stadium.Transport routes to get to the Stadium were non existent,no train route.A cold stadium in the South Eastern Suburbs had Magnificent potential,being a wonderful surface.Now home to the Hawthorn Football Club in a Training capacity.

Why did they even build that hole? I'm glad etihad stadium replaced it given it's modern systems.

Good venue for viewing but lack of protection meant you were exposed to the elements. The construction seemed a bit shabby, a lot of tin was used and it felt cheap. Impossible to get to by public trans. A pity, because it had potential.
